I love a good meat pie, particularly steak and kidney.  And I don't think there is a better pie maker than David John Butcher, located in the Oxford Cover Market, Oxford.

David John Butchers used to be two next door businesses, the Oxford Pantry and the Sausage Shop.

Most Fridays, since I've been studying in Oxford, I buy my pies from the pantry side of the store.

This side specialises in cold meats, pies and pastries, and is the place to go for anything from a simple slice of ham to a huntsman's pie (made with chicken breast and pork pie meat).

Next door, the butcher's shop specialising in a variety of sausages, including regional, gluten free and vegetarian ranges.

Seems I'm not the only student in love with this butcher shop, apparently David John Butchers has been officially endorsed by Oxford Brooks Student Union.
