Perfect holiday cancelled - getting a refund

Just checked Easyjet website, and my 09:35am flight to Madrid has been cancelled as Eyjafjallajökull still spewing. Truth be told, as much as I am disappointed I won't be experiencing Pueblo Ingles, I am relieved, the 'will I or won't I go' was stressing me out.

I wonder, will the task of getting my money back make me feel any better?

No! The Easyjet website is driving me mad:

1. I have to set up a new account with the Easyjet customer service despite having already having an Easyjet account

2. Told I have already used the email address, yes for my Easyjet account, so have to use a new one. Who set up this system - a five year old?

3. Can't submit refund, as keep getting error when uploading documentation. Submitting documentation is supposed to be optional, but no matter what format, jpeg or doc, I can't get this to work. Uhh!!!

4. Given up! Have used the same system to send an email to Easyjet customer service team to ask for help applying for refund, and if I can get a refund or credit note for my return flight.

Spoke to my friend Rachel, who was due to go to Germany today, and she had the same problem.
