More reasons why am not writing: Reading about Cheryl Cole

What was going on in New Zealand and I'm not talking about England's dismal showing in the Rugby world Cup? It's travellers to New Zealand that has got me scratching my head.

The Girls Aloud singer came top in the survey after picking up more than a third of the votes (37 per cent).

 Meanwhile, Oscar-winner Colin Firth was voted favourite male companion followed by footballer David Beckham and actor Orlando Bloom respectively.  

Around 2,000 people took part in the poll by Air New Zealand which asked people to nominate a celebrity to share a trans-Atlantic flight with."

Now I don't know her, and I am sure she is a nice person, but I am struggling to find reasons why Ms Cole, is so popular in New Zealand? '

If I had to chose any celebrity to sit next to on a long haul flight I would sit next to I would have to resurrect Marvin Gaye. Not only would he be good to look at, he could sing to me when I get jumpy through turbulence, and the rest of the time I would love to talk to him about his life and his music, especially everything to do with my favourite album What's Going On. Sorry! I can't think of a live celebrity right now.

So what about you, which celebrity, alive or dead, would you like to sit next to on a long-haul flight? You can chose anyone.
