Ode To My Fellow Food Pornographers [Includes Video]

When travelling we usually come across foods that we have never seen before, and may never see or eat again, so it's no surprise that many of us have many photos of such strange foods. But what if you can't sop, what if the first thing you do when you sit at the table is whip out your mobile phone to take a sneaky photo of what you are about to eat. Or forsooth, stop everyone from eating because you are intent on strategically placing every dish on the table so you can get the 'best shot'.

Well, if you know anyone like that, they are a food pornographer, and I am one.

While the rest of my dining ettiquettecannot be faulted, I don't eat with my mouth open, eat, spit and talk or chew loudly, eat with me and be sure by the time the food meets your mouth it'll lbe lukewarm.

Why do we do it? I would like to tell you all I do it because I am a food blogger and my online following demand it, but I have acknowledged my problem and won't make matters worst by lying. The funny thing is I take the photos with the intention to share with my very small online world, but often I forget, and they lodge in my file I call Travel Kitchen.

But my problem is severe, I take photos when ...

1) I cook my own meals,

2) eating out in a restaurant, and

3) when eating out at a friend or family.

Sudanese lunch (taken while hostess back turned hence poor quality)

Now you know my one flaw.

But before you prepare the virtual stock, confiscate my phone, or simply hate on me, let me tell you I am not alone. We may be many but we are not loved, and often mocked as in the cae of this music video called, 'Eat It Don't Tweet It,' mocking all food pornographers.

Watching it over lunch of drab green salad and a supermarket pizza, don't worry I won't be sharing that with you, the message gave me ... food for thought!
