Hull has been named the next UK City of Culture

Congratulations to Hull, which has been named the next UK City of Culture, and will take over the title in 2017. The other shortlisted cities were Leicester, Dundee and Swansea Bay. Sir Peter Bazalgette, Chair Arts Council England, said: 'I'm delighted that the UK City of Culture 2017 has been awarded to Hull.
