Sheffield runners defy cancellation and roadblocks to finish half-marathon
There were chaotic scenes in Sheffield on Sunday as the city's half-marathon was cancelled at the last minute because of lack of water for its 5,000 runners. South Yorkshire police initially tried to set up road blocks as thousands decided to run the route anyway, but later decided it was safer to let them complete the run.
