A colourful rock formation has appeared in the desert outside Las Vegas

Seven teetering 30-foot towers of technicolour limestone have appeared in the desert south of Las Vegas. The imposing formations, evocatively named 'Seven Magic Mountains', comprise one of the largest land-based art installations in the United States for more than 40 years, and took almost five years to construct.
