IMG_1124 Still got some ways to go re cleaning up the Diverse Traveller archive, but I'm now bored and it's late. I'm usually in bed by 10 pm, I'm a morning person, but it's 11.17 pm and I'm still wide awake; even the crap on TV can't send me to sleep.

Yes, I could be out and about the night spots of London, but no, I decided to upload pictures from my trip to historic Savannah, Sept. 2008.

Like many of my photos they've been sitting forlorn on my PC, along with my travel journal. So, today's the day I set some of them free.

Going back in time

Each time I travel to the USA, I say I must go to Savannah, Charleston and / or  Boston as I am in love with the buildings of antebellum, slavery times, USA and not what this period represented to African-Americans. But I never got round to it,  until September 2008.

Ye 'Olde Harbour Inn

On the back of Hurricane Hannah, she hit Savannah two days after my arrival, I arrived in Savannah. I stayed in a reasonably priced suite in the revamped Olde Harbour Inn.

Oh dear! I was about to launch in the story of my Savannah trip, but I am now yawning for Britain, could be something to do with the Clint Eastwood movie on TV.  Thus, I'll leave the storytelling for another day.

Good Night!
