Review:

AriseNShine is located about 20 minutes from downtown Toronto. Don't let that put you off, it's in a nice neighbourhood, and there's plenty of things around.

Ronke and I stayed in the Moonlit room from Sept 5th, 2009 and left on the morning of Sept 8th, 2009.

Initially we were concerned about sharing a bathroom. Our fears were groundless, as we shared with only one other room and the bathroom was spotless each day.

Another concern was the location, again we needn't have worried. There are many quaint shops and eateries, plus Greektown, on the Danforth and Little India. Getting downtown is easy as the Redline tram stop is very close, and it runs 24 hours.

We learned all tis from our host Joseph Long, a qualified Chef and a very gracious host. Not only was he a great source of things to do and to see, he always woke very early (5am), despite our protests, to make us a cooked breakfast whenever we had to set off early. The morning we were leaving, after we had tarried too long over breakfast, he dropped us at the bus station and refused to take any payment.

Our trip to Toronto was a whirl of new and enduring experiences, but it was our stay in AriseNShine that makes Toronoto one of my favourite cities.
