From Diverse Traveller October 2009 newsletter.

... Via Diverse Traveller I have read a lot about Canada, and have wanted to go and check it out for myself. Montreal, Ottawa, Quebec City and Toronto (click this link to se the photos on Flicker.com). Canada did not let me down. Once I have got over my post-holiday creative blues, i.e once I'm back in the writing mood, I will share the highlights of my trip with you.

Fortunately, over the summer many Diverse Travellers were in the writing mood, I received many inspiring travel stories . If you are one, thank you very much. If not, please think about it. I am happy to receive all sorts of travel stories and poems, and do get in touch if you want help crafting your story; I don't bite.

This month, our authors take us around the world, from the United Kingdom to Australia. Many write about camping or travelling by camper van .

As well as these new stories (and features), there is so much more available on the Diverse Traveller website, so please visit.

Before I sign-off, I have a plea for volunteers. I want to grow Diverse Traveller, but need many more hands. Although I am looking for specific roles, i.e sub-editors, PR and marketing volunteers, I am also looking for people to give me advice. Particularly advice on running competitions (on - and off-line) and publishing a book. Plus, guest writers for Ola's World, people who can write about anything travel.

Enough about me. Time to leave you to travel the world via the Diverse Traveller website. If you don't find anything of interest, or think you can do better - please join us, and help us spread the Diverse Traveller word.

Until next month, I wish you safe and interesting journeys around the world and through life.

Travel writing tip: Simple short sentences are easier to read than long wordy ones.
