What type of traveller are you?

Researchers are fond of categorising us all, I should know I am one of them. The results of a new segmentation research tends to only excite those of us in the industry; so yes I was excited when I came across a presentation called, 'Future traveller tribes 2020'*.
The objective of the research was to predict the type of travellers we will be and how the travel industry can use technology to improve our travel experiences.
Future traveller tribes 2020
My excitement soon evaporated, as this presentation didn't tell me anything new. In fact, even as a non-researcher will probably say, 'so tell me something I didn't know'?
I know this research is now two years old, but come on, who didn't know that there are:
1) lots of people who travel abroad to visit friends and family
2) more older (50+) travellers
3) increasing number of employees (20s to 40s) travelling for business, and
4) senior executives travelling, especially to new markets such as China.
And of course, it was money well spent to find out that travellers '... want more control, comfort, security and personalisation.'
Now, I am not really mocking this research, after all the commissioning company, Amadeus IT Group, probably didn't know any of this, and even the same old information is better than no information at all. And research like this does keep Diverse Traveller online (and free).
Now, there must be more research out there identifying different types of travellers, and I am now on the hunt, especially for anything on women travellers.
In the meantime, what type of traveller are you?
Me? I am the stylishly cheap traveller, the women who demands her creature comforts, but doesn't want to pay through the nose for them. The women who splashes out on accommodation, then jumps on local transport, haggles with market traders, and eats out in the street - all this while looking good.
