Travelling around the world
Thank you to the small, but cherished, number of people who visit this blog, sorry for being away for so long.
I wish I could tell you I spent the last month, sunning myself on an exotic beach, or wondering around a country I have never been before, but alas, I spent the last month being prodded and poked by medical staff, mainly doctors and a physiotherapist. Each medic have been striving to understand why I am having increasingly severe and chronic shoulder aches and pain, this in spite of six months of physiotherapist and a steroid injection.
The aches and pain limit the amount of time I can do things such as typing, something to do with my nerves. Anyway, while I await the next round of tests and consultations, I am trying to reduce the work that has been piling up, and get back to something I enjoy.
To that effect, this weekend I’ve been updating the Diverse Traveller website for October. Contributors take us on their travels to Athens, Berlin, Ghana and Rome (see below). Then there are interviews with spiritual traveller and roaming author Dianne Sharma-Winter, long-term travellers, Ali and Mike a husband and wife team that live permanently in a motorhome, and lessons learned by Deneice from eight years on the road, in a campervan, and surfing, with her husband.

In the 1970s, Ellie and friends visited the then West Berlin, crossing the Berlin Wall to East Berlin. Over thirty years later, ten years after the wall came down, Ellie returned to find a city no longer divided and changed for the better.

I am looking for women to take part in interviews for Diverse Traveller. The women I am interested in are as follows:
- authors, particularly self-published
- long-term travellers travelling with a friend, partner and / or family
- Expats and volunteers abroad
- working in travel - running your own business, airline crew, travel editors etc.
- from around the world, not living in UK, willing to share the details of a day in their life with other women around the world
- taking your first trip abroad
