Stress of running the Diverse Traveller website - down time

Even though I've been managing the Diverse Traveller website since 2005, I am still very much a website novice.

So, on May 1st, you can image my horror, when I discovered that the Diverse Traveller website was not display correctly. After I calmed down, I called my ever supportive web design company, Clarity.UK, and pleaded for help.

Dear, dear Johhny, told me that the problem was linked to the server of Fasthosts.com, the company hosting the Diverse Traveller website. He noticed that passwords were showing, so on his advice I shut the website down.

I am still waiting for an answer and solution from Fasthosts. While I wait and wait, I apologise for the inconvenience caused, and hope you bear with us.

In the mean time please continue to send us your travel stories, tips and photos.

Glyn, on visiting your website, I nearly packed my stressed self a few belongings to sample Tuscany's finest. While common sense prevailed and the flu took hold, I had time to think and breathe. Thank you for your soothing advice, I have been taking it, and while I catch up on things. I smile as I think about the two weeks I am planning in Italy. I shall be in touch again very soon.

I feel you pain! Sometimes it can be really hard understanding exactly where the problem is and invariably the problem lies in a completely different place to where you think it is. I think fasthosts are really good so I'm sure the problem is temporary.
